the values voter summit, along with mit romney. mike huckabee. sean hannah de. newt gingrich, congresswoman woman michelle bachmann, bob mcdonnell. i guess he's over that whole hey now i'm a moderate thing. also mike pence. all of those folks, all of those relatively mainstream conservative folks speaking alongside a guy who not only says we are at war with islam, but muslims should not be allowed to serve in the united states' military. if you are a muslim and you want to move to this country that should preclude you from being able to do so. now, of course, a man like brian fischer is entitled to his own kook opinions, but at some point, is there any political accountability for people who are mainstreaming him? by appearing with him at a political event? people who are running for president in 2012, in all likelihood, are appearing alongside the no more muslims in america guy. there ought to be a religious test, and if you are a muslim you ought to not be allowed to serve in the u.s. military guy. are there any political consequences for mainstreaming and appearing alongside a guy doing

tonight is in delaware, longtime congressman mike castle is being challenged in the republican senate primary by tea party favorite christine o'donnell. polls closed over 60 minutes ago. as you can see the race remains too close to call. as of right now o'donnell is leading castle 55% to 45% with 47% of the precincts reporting. other than joe biden, mike castle is perhaps the most recognizable political name in all of delaware. he has been the state's governor served in congress since 1993, now his political future is in jeopardy thanks to o'donnell looking to pull off a major upset. she has the support of sarah palin, talk radio mark levin. and her victory in delaware would be another example that the tea party movement is on the rise. we'll continue to bring updates on that race and more as the night continues. we have frank luntz, karl rove and young guns of the republican party are here with analysis. but first let me bring in the host of varney & company stuart varney and former white house press secretary dana perino. look at that lead, 47% of the vote in. a week ago, i don't th

. derek valcourt is following what happened. mike schuh and andrea fujii have reaction. wjz is live at the scene with the story we've been following since just before noontime. we begin with derek valcourt. >> reporter: it has been a chaotic situation here at one of the country's most prominent hospitals as a gunman was inside his room upset with the care that his mother was receiving, shot his doctor and then later we learned shot himself and his mother. police say 50-year-old warren davis shot a doctor on the eighth floor of the nelson building in the massive johns hopkins hospital complex after he became emotionally distraught over his mother's medical condition. the doctor collapsed just outside the doorway of the room, and mr. davis was last seen running into the room brandishing the handgun in the direction of his mother, who was confined to the bed. >> reporter: hospital employees were alerted to the danger as dozens of patients and employees were evacuated. police secured the eighth floor as they tried to establish contact with davis and allow business to continue in the res
